ZeniMax, parent company of Bethesda Softworks, today announced that they have recently acquired Escalation Studios. The team, based in Dallas, Texas in the US, was originally founded in 2007 by Tom Mustaine and Marc Tardif, two top names in the industry. Since then, the studio has helped build and support some big companies, including working on ID Softwares award-winning Doom reboot which launched last year. Todd Vaughn, Vice President of Development at Bethesda, said:
We have continually been impressed with the team at Escalation that Tom and Marc have assembled. Their commitment to quality and innovation has made significant contributions to the projects we’ve worked on together, and we’re excited to have them join ZeniMax.”
Bethesda is easily one of the best studios in the world at the moment, releasing games such as Dishonored, The Evil Within and of course the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series. Marc Tardif and Tom Mustaine, Co-Managing Directors of Escalation Studios are very excited about what this partnership could do for their company and is excited about the prospects for the future. According to Marc:

Escalation is set to continue several projects it already has running with ZeniMax subsidiaries including a lineup of PC VR and mobile projects.
