As with pretty much every game these days, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is letting fans get their first taste long before the official release date of 4 April 2017. From 3 February 2017, the open beta will be around for everyone to get a taste of the stealth life (or explosive life if you are so inclined).
Like for most betas, this chance won’t be the full game (for obvious reasons), instead giving players the chance to test out the game through 2 missions. The first involves killing a bunch of people in a communications facility to realign a satellite array, while the second involves killing a bunch of people while trying to kill a well guarded war criminal. Getting the idea? Go in, stab/ shoot/ be a general annoyance your way through to the objective in any way you see fit. Remember, if there are no witnesses if there is nobody alive to see it (Cough Hitman).
If you haven’t heard about the game before, or just like watching people shoot stuff, check out the TwitchCon trailer below, or check out the extended gameplay trailer that came out last month:
Developed by CI Games, who is best known for the previous 2 games in the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series as well as Lords of the Fallen, has a lot of experience in the stealth shooter genre. CI CEO Marek Tymiński stated in the announcement:
Since this is a technical test, we encourage everyone to give us feedback of their experiences in the Steam forums. We hope they enjoy what they play!”
Signups are available at sniperghostwarrior3.com/beta/. Unfortunately the beta will only be on PC at this stage even though the final game is expected for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well.
